Take the surprise out of your home insurance renewal.
Your home insurance premium may rise at renewal, even if you haven’t made a claim. CityScape Insurance offers Premium Lock®, a three-year price guarantee designed to make those increases easier to manage. If your eligible premium rises above the threshold set for your guarantee, Eventual reimburses you for the qualifying increase.
Premium Lock is a separate service guarantee. You continue paying your home insurance carrier as usual, and the guarantee has its own monthly cost. We’ll help you review the price, payout threshold, and eligibility terms so you can decide whether it makes sense for your home.

Premium Lock®: Frequently Asked Questions
What is Premium Lock?
Premium Lock is a three-year price guarantee offered through CityScape Insurance and provided by Eventual. If your eligible home insurance premium rises above the payout threshold set for your home, Eventual reimburses you for the amount above that threshold. It is a separate service guarantee, not a home insurance policy.
Does Premium Lock stop my insurance company from raising my rate?
No. Your insurance company can still change your premium, and you continue paying your policy bill as usual. Premium Lock may reimburse you if your premium exceeds the threshold in your guarantee.
What is the payout threshold?
It’s the premium amount your home insurance must exceed before a reimbursement is triggered. Eventual sets the threshold for your property when you purchase the guarantee. Review your quote for the amount that applies to your home.
How and when would I receive a payment?
Your insurance declarations page is reviewed at renewal. If the premium shown exceeds your applicable threshold and you remain eligible, Eventual contacts you and sends the reimbursement directly to you by ACH. CityScape helps submit the declarations page for review.
Can I keep Premium Lock if I change insurance companies?
Generally, yes. You can switch between eligible admitted home insurance carriers, provided your coverage remains eligible under the guarantee’s terms.
What if I file a home insurance claim?
Filing a claim does not, by itself, end your Premium Lock guarantee. A premium increase following a claim may qualify for reimbursement if it exceeds your payout threshold and the other terms are met.
What changes could affect my guarantee?
Changes you choose that increase your premium, such as lowering your deductible or upgrading your coverage, may change your payout threshold or affect eligibility. Material changes to your home or policy may also affect the guarantee. Contact us before making a significant change so we can help you understand the effect.
Which policies are eligible?
Premium Lock works with eligible admitted homeowners and dwelling policies. It does not apply to excess and surplus lines policies, state insurers of last resort, or auto, renters, and flood policies.
How much does it cost, and can I cancel?
The cost is shown in your individual quote and is paid separately from your home insurance premium. You can cancel Premium Lock at any time. Ask CityScape for a quote to see the cost and payout threshold for your home.
Reimbursements and eligibility are subject to your Premium Lock agreement. Review your individual quote and terms for the details that apply to your home.
